Live forecast data supplied directly by MET Norway for the water just offshore from Crooklets. This is modelled guidance, not a beach safety assessment—always check the RNLI flags and speak to the lifeguards before paddling out.
Understanding the number
The feed reports significant wave height: the average of the highest third of modelled offshore waves, measured from trough to crest. Tide, seabed, wind, period and local banks determine how those waves break at Crooklets.

Crooklets visual guide

The 1ft, 2ft and 3ft photographs are representative scale guides, not live Crooklets camera images. Surfers often describe breaking waves differently from forecast significant wave height, so the two figures should not be compared directly.
Award-winning coastline
Crooklets, Summerleaze and Widemouth retained Blue Flag status for 2026—recognising high standards in water quality, environmental management, education and safety.
Independent local checks
