Included at no extra charge
Guests can request a travel cot and high chair before arrival, and use the Shack’s Zuma Jay bodyboards free during their stay. Crooklets is around five minutes away on foot, so a beach session need not involve a car or a complicated plan.
Bude Surf Shack’s own Zuma Jay bodyboards are free for guests to borrow. Match the session to the weakest swimmer, wear suitable leashes and use a lifeguarded beach between the flags whenever they are operating.

A travel cot can be provided without an extra hire charge. Request it before arrival so it is ready for your stay; bring the bedding and sleep items your child normally uses.
A high chair is also available at no extra charge. Ask for it before arrival and family meals can start without filling the car with more kit.
Build the day around short walks, cafés, local shops and breaks back at the house. The washing machine, dryer, Wi-Fi, dining table and comfortable living room make wet-weather resets straightforward.

The open-air tidal pool beside Summerleaze is free to use. It is not a guaranteed lifeguarded environment: check current conditions and notices, and supervise children continuously.

Try Crooklets or Summerleaze as the tide falls. Go in daylight and calm weather, wear grippy footwear, replace stones gently and leave wildlife where you found it.

Wet-weather option
Local two-hour soft-play sessions: under 12 months £1, age 12 months–2 years £5, age 2–12 £6.50 and adults £1. The venue generally opens from 9:30am; session availability and closing times vary, so book or call before travelling.

Never assume a previous jump proves today is safe. Check the actual water depth, tide, visibility, obstructions and current signs immediately before entry; children need close adult supervision.
